Erin Mayes

Mayes joins the Churchill Softball program for the 2016 season as a hitting and first base coach. Mayes, a four year letterman at Ida High School (2006 – 2010), receiving all-district honors in 2007, ’08, ’09 and ’10. Mayes was a three-time All-LCAA first team and all region pick (2008, ’09, ’10) including being named twice to the all-state team, including a first team selection as a senior (2010). Mayes is currently tied for the Bluestreak’s single-season home run record with six and was named the Bluestreak’s offensive player of the year three times (2008, ’09,’10).
Her career continued at the collegiate level, being recruited by Madonna University (Livonia, Mich.), starting at first base all four years. Mayes went on to be named to the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference all-conference first team all four years (2011, ’12, ’13, and ’14). Mayes also took home several WHAC player of the week honors in her four years on competition. Mayes currently holds the Madonna University softball career home run record with 27.
Mayes earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Madonna University.
