Girls Tennis Mandatory Meeting Feb 4, 2025

There will be a meeting on Tuesday Feb 4, 2025 at 3:15 in the Churchill cafeteria for anyone who is going to play tennis this Spring.  It is very important that you show up as all uniforms will be ordered in the next couple of weeks and then the window will be closing.  Please plan on being there to get all of the information you need for a successful start to our season!!!

Spring Girls Tennis Informational Meeting - Important

Please plan on being at our meeting which will be held on Monday February 5, 2024 in the area outside of the cafeteria and near the Big Red Shed at 2:45 pm.  This will be the only info meeting before the team begins practicing on Monday March 11, 2024.  Important information and dates will be given.  Hope to see you there!

Fall Tennis Information 23-24

Practices will begin August 7 from 9:00-11:00 am and competitions begin on August 14, 2023.  Please note that tennis season begins BEFORE school starts!!!  We normally play several matches and tourneys before school even begins and positions will be established.  This is a no-cut sport, however, there are only 14 Varsity positions to be determined by performance and challenge matches. Please plan your schedule to allow you to be there when we start. You must show up when our season begins to be considered for any of these positions and uniforms will be ordered by then as well.  Please contact me with any questions.  The team usually meets 2-3 times a week throughout the summer (optional) and you are welcome to join in.  Please join my Google Classroom - dkbl67w  to keep up with what is going on!!

Girls Tennis Mandatory Pre-Season Informational Meeting

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!  2:30 pm in the Cafeteria Anyone interested in joining the girls tennis team should plan on attending a half hour meeting on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at 2:30 pm in the Churchill cafeteria.  All info on the upcoming season will be discussed and uniforms that are currently being ordered.   Please make every effort to be informed.  Students may also contact our captains, Archana Chandran or Anna Novak for additional assistance.  Please join the Google Classroom asap for all info is posted there.  The code will be shared at our meeting plus info on current ordering of mandatory uniform. Fall 2021 Boys Tennis

Official practices will begin Monday August 9, 2021. Practices will be every day from 9:00 - 11:00 am at the Churchill tennis courts. You must have your physical form the first day that you play. We have matches and tournaments beginning in August BEFORE school starts!!  As of right now our first tourney is on August 20, 2021.  The new schedules have not been posted yet but you should check periodically as it will be there soon and we update frequently. New matches will be added to this schedule. Some of our team gets together to hit on their own over the summer. Mandatory Google Team Meeting Friday March 19, 2021

There is a mandatory meeting for the Girls Tennis Team on Friday March 19, 2021 at 3:30 p.m.  Practices begin NEXT WEEK ON THE COURTS from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.  There will NOT be a meeting on the track in the Field house!  We have already had our informational meetings and uniforms have been ordered. You must have your physical in hand or on file to step on the courts Monday.  Join the Churchill Girls Varsity Tennis Google Classroom for all information.  The code is 64hgxks    The link to our meeting is in the Classroom.  See you Friday!

GOLF TEAM TRY-OUT DATES AND LOCATION

2021 Boy's Varsity Golf Team TRY-OUTS March 22nd - 24th 2:45pm - 5:00pm Location: Whispering Willows Golf Course (weather permitting, please dress warm) 20500 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48152 Cost is $11 each day for green fees The fee may change if we have to do try-outs at Carl's Golfland. (TBD.)

Girls Tennis Uniform Order and Google Online Team Meeting

The online window is open right now to order your uniform.  This is your responsibility.  The information is in my Google Classroom - code 64hgxks  You MUST all have the team shirt that we have chosen and a red skirt or shorts with pockets PLAIN (the bottom can be purchased somewhere else but must be plain and MATCH) There will be an online mandatory meeting at 3:30 pm Monday March 1, 2021   The link will be on the Google Classroom called Churchill Girls Varsity Tennis.  If you wish to play, you must be at this meeting to get the necessary information!

Girls Varsity Tennis - Pre Season Meeting and Google Classroom

Please join my Google Classroom titled Churchill Girls Varsity Tennis with the code of 64hgxks as soon as possible.  Our pre-season meeting will be on Google Meets and next week.  The link will be shared in the Classroom.  We will be going to Dearborn Indoor Racquet and Health Club this year, beginning Monday Marrch 22, 2021,  but protocols only allow 5 players per court.  We will have some courts and will have to rotate players.  Cost is $10 CASH before you go on the court and you get 1 1/2 hours court time.  Details will follow soon as we are still working it out.  Times most likely from 4-5:30 pm.  See you soon!!!

You MUST bring your own water. A large water jug with ice is suggested. A small bottle will not be enough in this heat and you will not be able to go into the building. I am requiring that you bring this item and label with your name.  it is your job to check the schedule frequently as competitions are still being added. Tennis Award Distribution This Week

Girls Tennis: Please plan on coming to Churchill by the tennis courts this Thursday June 11, 2020 between 2:30 and 3:30 pm to gather your JV and Varsity Awards.  If you cannot be there it is your job to make arrangements for someone else to pick up.  This will be the only pick up. Boys Tennis Senior boys please swing by during this pick up time - I have a gift for you!  June 11, 2020 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm by the tennis courts!!
