PORTAGE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The Lady Chargers headed to Portage Central to take on some of the top teams in the state this past Saturday. The Chargers defeated East Kentwood (25-14, 25-18) and Marshall (25-18, 25-14) while battling to the end with Grand Rapids Christian (21-25, 20-25) and host Portage Central (20-25, 22-25) in pool play. They then defeated Cadillac in the crossover for a 5th place finish.
The remainder of the 10 team tournament included East Grand Rapids, Bedford, Plainwell and Rockford.
The next scheduled contest for the Lady Chargers has the team traveling to Grand Haven on September 1st.
