The Lady Chargers traveled to the Novi Invitational on Saturday.  In pool play the Chargers defeated Monroe(25-21, 25-19) and Pinckney(25-11, 25-12) before dropping the final match to #1 ranked Novi(14-25, 12-25).  The morning play placed the team in the gold bracket to face Honorable Mention Brighton in the first round.  They secured the first set win 25-17 and then dropped the final 20-25 and 10-15.  Despite the absence of 3 student-athletes due to ACT testing the Livonia Churchill Chargers finished 9^th out of the 20 teams behind Class A state ranked #1, 5, 7, 10, 13, 19 and 1 honorable mention, but ahead of Class A #18 and Class C #1.

This week finds the Chargers taking their 1-0 KLAA record into conference play at Plymouth on Tuesday and Canton on Thursday before heading to Bedford on Saturday.  The Chargers are currently 9-6 with those losses coming at the hands of all state ranked teams.
