The Churchill JV Volleyball team started their season this week at the Northville Tournament. The 12 team tournament consisted of teams from Northville, Brighton, Saline, Howell, Salem, Livonia Franklin, Waterford Mott, Plymouth, AA Pioneer, Waterford Kettering and Wayne Memorial. The Chargers started the day in pool play with a loss to a very strong team from Brighton (9-25, 14-25) and then a victory over Livonia Franklin (25-16, 25-11) before heading into bracket play as the 5th seed. In single elimination bracket play they lost to another very skilled team from Saline.
The ladies will head to Novi this weekend for another high level JV tournament to take on Lake Orion, Mercy and Utica in pool play beginning at 8:30 am.
