The JV Volleyball team traveled to Novi for the always competitive tournament.  With teams from Novi, Lake Orion, Utica, Bedford, Marian, Mercy, Clarkston, SMCC and many other quality programs the Chargers had to bring it early.  They started with a 20-25, 18-25 loss to the tournament champs, Lake Orion.  The team pulled together to get 2nd in their pool with wins over Mercy(25-15, 25-13) and Utica (25-19, 25-10).  Bracket play put the Chargers up against St. Mary's Catholic Central in match 2 of the gold bracket.  Despite a first set battle the Chargers were not able to take SMCC to a third game, losing 25-27, 10-25.

All members of the JV team contributed to the success on Saturday.  Summer Clark and Mary Claire Yost dominated the net for the Chargers while the back row defense was owned by Libero Grace Vaeth and defensive specialists Emily Chute and Madison Anderson.  Molly Chantres, Ciara Mizzi and Maria Targosz attacked from the left, Takanta George and Kaci Pampreen worked the right side while the hands of Jessica Maladecki made everything happen offensively.  The ladies head to Wayne Memorial on Tuesday for another tournament with multiple teams.  Nice job ladies and keep pushing with everything you've got!!
