Livonia Churchill JV Volleyball traveled to south over the weekend to take on multiple teams in the always competitive Bedford Invitational.  They began pool play with victories over Jefferson(25-20, 25-10) and Airport(25-21, 25-18) and then split against the host, Beford(14-25, 25-23).  That pool play action got them into the gold bracket where they faced Mercy(25-20, 16-25 and 17-15) before dropping the match to the Tournament Champions from Northville in the semi-finals(17-25, 20-25).  The team found a way to battle through some adversity during the tournament with the loss of OH Molly Chantres early in the day and missing MB Mary Claire Yost.  Coach Claire Urban says, "I am super proud of how well they did as a team under a bit of adversity, they fought hard and gained success from it".  The Chargers saw a few players really stand up and make a difference on Saturday including Emily Chute, Grace Vaeth, Takanta George, Maria Targosz and Kaci Pampreen.

The Chargers head to Plymouth this evening for KLAA action and then to Canton on Thursday prior to taking part in the Saline JV Invitational on Saturday.
