On Saturday the young Lady Chargers traveled to Saline for the high level tournament. In pool play the team lost to Mercy(25-17, 22-25, 19-25) and defeated Dexter(14-25, 25-22, 25-13). That placed them in the gold bracket as the 6th seed against a very tough Portage Central team. Despite some very aggressive net play by Grace Facione on the outside, Mya Grant and Paige McCausland in the middle the chargers dropped the match in three(18-25, 28-26, 13-15). The lady chargers also received some solid serving and defense from Saydee Viau and Allison Fulton. They will resume play this week traveling to KLAA foes Plymouth on Tuesday, Canton on Thursday as well as the Novi Invitational on Saturday. Their current record is 14-4.
