Livonia Churchill came up short in game 1 of the City Tournament against host Livonia Franklin, 4 - 6.
Despite a strong pitching effort by Luke Jaroszewicz and offensive firepower by Chris Sergison the Chargers came up short. Luke went 6 innings, giving up 2 earned runs and struck out 5. Chris went 4 - 4 with 2 singles, a double and a 2 run homerun to account for all 4 RBI's.
In game 2 against Claranceville, the Chargers came out on top 6 - 2.
Jake Rudd and Preston Dixon combined to shut down their opponents bats. They struck out 8 while only walking 1 batter.
The offense was led by Drew Bush, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Connor Burnette added 2 triples, a run scored and 2 RBI's.
